HistoryView
​HistoryView is used to analyze data from HMI historical logs. Various file formats are supported:
  • Solar Turbines TT4000 ".log"
  • Solar Turbines TT2000 ".inf" and ".1, .2, .3, .#"
  • Solar Turbines DataGrab ".xlsm"
  • Solar Turbines High Speed Recorder ".trc"
  • FactoryTalk View ".dat"
  • Emerson Rx3i ".otd"
  • Woodward Flex 500 ".log"
  • Woodward Control Assistant ".log"
  • Siemens ".csv"

​HistoryView is a new product released in 2021 and replaces HistoryViewer. New features include:

  • Complete rewrite using a modern GUI
  • Ability to open multiple log files simultaneously
  • Color coded event summary table (see image below)
  • Option to show events on the trend plots
  • Trend, Y versus X and polar plot capabilities
  • Zoom summary plot which can be used for navigation
  • Statistical data analysis

Site licenses of HistoryView are available. We can work with your IT department to make HistoryView available within your company's internal software distribution system.

HistoryView requiremes .Net Core version 8.0. It may be necessary to install a .Net update (.NET Desktop Runtime 8.0) linked as follows for the application to run.

A new graphical library was implemented with HistoryView version 3.0.6, released on 1/15/2025. This new version requires .Net Core 8 and high-performance graphics mode. Further details are presented here: .Net Core 8 and Graphics Mode

This new revision is available for beta testing, and I appreciate your patience and assistance in identifying any bugs.
The old application HistoryViewer is still available for download here. It should be used for HMI log files in the ".inf", ".1, .2, ..." formats.
